Department of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics is one of the major department in our college. The UG Course was established in 1979 and PG M.Sc. Applicable Sciences (Mathematics) was introduced in the year 1997. Again the course was changed into M.Sc., Applied Mathematics in 2002. Our department promotes quality education in Mathematics, So the course was changed into M.Sc Mathematics in 2008. The Department comprising four qualified faculty members and six qualified Guest Lecturers actively engaged in teaching.
MathematicsClub:
Our college has Mathematics Club functioning Mrs. Shanmugavalli, HOD, Department of Mathematics as co-ordinator and other staffs are members. On 28.1.2015 Mathematics Exhibition 2015 and Inter-collegiate Aptitude Test Seminar on “Number Theory” Resource Person Prof. M.A. Gopalan, Srimathi Indira Gandhi College, Trichi.
Exhibition: Our students displayed 101 Mathematics Model, 300 Chart paper explanations, 9 Thermocol Mode. Totally 500 models were displayed properly and neatly.
